Long Tail Keywords are multi-word/phrase search queries that people use to find what they are looking for on the search engines. Instead of typing in a general term such as "sell diet ebook", the person trying to sell Atkins Diet ebook, might type in "sell Atkins Diet ebook".
In this way, the search is more targeted. If your website is optimized for a long term search, your site might end up on the first page of Google for that long-tail keyword, that is if that particular term is not too competitive.
